Do's
- Always wash and dry your hands before touching the canvas, or better yet, handle it by the frame or the edges. Our skin’s natural oils can leave invisible marks over time.
- Hang your painting in a well-lit room, but away from direct, harsh sunlight. Indirect natural light is the "sweet spot" that makes colors pop without fading them.
- Every few months, give your painting a "spa day." Use a clean, dry, soft-bristle brush (like a high-quality makeup brush or a soft paintbrush) to gently whisk away dust.
- Try to keep it in a room with steady temperature and humidity (avoiding damp basements or breezy spots right next to an AC unit).
Don't
- No Chemicals or Water: Never use cleaning sprays, Windex, or even a damp cloth on the painted surface. Liquids can react with the pigment or seep into the canvas fibers.
- In heat zones It might look cozy, but hanging art directly above a radiator or a frequently used fireplace can cause the paint to crack or the wooden frame to warp.
- Don't "Seal" it Yourself: We’ve already applied a professional finish to protect the work. Adding your own varnishes or sprays might cause a chemical reaction that changes the colors.
- Don't leave it wrapped in plastic or bubble wrap for months. Art needs to "breathe." Use acid-free paper or a clean cotton sheet instead.
