Ensure it is kept on a stable, flat surface to avoid tilting or damage. Clean the mandir regularly using a soft dry cloth to remove dust. Keep diya and oil lamps in a safe, stable holder and clean any oil spills promptly. Use lightweight idols and decor to avoid overloading shelves.
